REBECCA ZANESCO

I'm an independent artist born in Montebelluna in the province of Treviso, Italy. At 19 I took my savings and moved to Paris where I worked as a waitress and competed for a renowned judo team. After losing my job in a restaurant, I started taking odd jobs playing on the streets of the ville lumière. Thanks to this activity I got to know different and interesting characters, starting to see a possible future in music. After working at the Hard Rock Cafè in the French capital, I decided to continue my studies and managed to secure a place at the Academy of Contemporary Music in England where I had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with talented musicians and composers. Here I developed my sound, with my roots firmly planted in rock, folk and jazz and I started producing my songs. My main inspirations are Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone. My musical influences and contaminations include Billie Eilish, Hozier, Rosalia, Lana del Rey, which I try to merge in my bedroom-recording sound using both electronics and analog instruments. I write both in my mother tongue and in English and French, interpreting classics and covers with a dark flavor. In 2021 I released my debut EP "Aurora". Thanks also to an experience of a few months at the Hard Rock Cafè in Amsterdam, I came into contact with the artists of the famous NDSM and strengthens my artistic direction. During my experience in the UK I also started to work on orchestral compositions.

Back in Italy due to the pandemic, I enrolled at the Agostino Steffani Conservatory and entered the two-year course of audiovisual composition and sound design. Here I refined my knowledge both theoretically and as a producer and I met the singer-songwriter Francesca Michielin, to whom I presented my songs "Cimitero degli Elefanti" and "Grammo di Zucchero". Francesca organized a concert at the Academic Theater of Castelfranco and chose me to end the concert with two original pieces. Thanks also to this artistic drive, I started playing live again and collaborating with local artists.

In addition to my solo activity, I write lyrics and music for other artists such as ATLANTICO, Naleay, collaborating with international artists as a singer/songwriter, a keyboard player, arranger and producer including the Bulgarian singer K.Lina and the Anglo-French artist Ellette .
